    Abstract: Touro Infirmary Archives houses the history of the hospital from 1852 to the present. Holdings include photographs, minute books, admission books (1855-1891), Touro Infirmary School of Nursing, Touro Auxiliary. There is a lot of New Orleans Jewish history as the hospital was founded and funded by Jews.     Abstract: Prof. Syed Zillur Rahman established his personal library-cum-museum in the early 1960s. After founding of 'Ibn Sina Academy of Medieval Medicine & Sciences' in 2000 AD, the personal collection became a part of the Academy. The Academy is a non-political, non-governmental and non-profit organization registered under Indian Trust Act, 1882. It is an accredited organization by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India which also gave status of 'Centre of Excellence' The library of the Academy at present houses one of the most precious and valuable collection of over 500 medical manuscripts, 20,000 printed books in many languages like Arabic, Persian, Urdu, Sanskrit, Hindi and English, 15,000 periodicals, hundreds of special magazines, medical conference souvenirs and many specimens of oriental calligraphy on medical sciences and the practice of medicine. Books on the following sections in the Library are worthy to be mentioned: History of Medieval Medicine and Sciences, Unani, Ayurveda & Tibetan Medicine, Greaco-Arab (Unani) Materia Medica and Modern Pharmacology. Any person wishing to consult the historical collection can contact through email (ibnsinaacademy@gmail.com). Information if feasible will either be provided by e-mail or through surface mail. Visitors may visit the library during office hours. The library provides free and open access to all scholars. SERVICES: Photocopying and reference services are available. Opening hours are from Monday through Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

    Abstract: Archives and Corporate Records Services houses the institutional records of King's College London since its inception in 1828, of King's College Hospital, and also of institutions with which it has since merged in London, notable the Medical Schools of Guy's Hospital (founded in 1726) and St Thomas's Hospital (founded in the twelfth century), Dulwich Hospital, and of a number of training institutions for nurses including Lewishman Hospital and New Cross Hospital. Historic medical collections include administrative records, correspondence, records of students and staff, publications, photographs, private papers of researchers and the papers of research projects. Restrictions: confidential patient case notes are subject to a closure period. New readers require evidence of identity. SERVICES: Photocopying and digital copying may be carried out on request. Enquiries are answered by letter, email and fax. Hours: 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday - Friday closed on weekends, public holdidays and College closed days.
    Holdings: Archives totaling in excess of 600 linear meters include clinical records, the records of student medics and dentists from 1723, personal paper collections (180 total), the papers of student learned societies, photographs, including of Joseph Lister and other medical pioneers, biomedical research notably Nobel-Prize winning X-ray diffraction analysis of the DNA helix carried out by Maurice Wilkins and others during the 1950s, and on the sliding filament structur of human muscle. Also the papers of the Nuffield Foundation Science Teaching Project from 1949 that played a key role in the creation of a modern science syllabus in UK schols from the 1960s. The papers of the Royal British Nurses' Association and other papers on nursing training and the records of student nurses from 1887 represent an internationally important resource on this aspect of medical education. Other highlights include papers on childhood developmental psychology and on gerontology.

    Abstract: The archives provide information on the Boston University Medical Center and its component institutions: Schools of Medicine, Dental Medicine and Public Health, the Division of Graduate Medical Sciences, the hospital and its affiliates. Physical access to this collection is for onsite use only. Online access to a collection of BU Medical Campus publications is available via the OpenBU digital repository. SERVICES: Reference, photocopy and photo-reproduction. Researchers should arrange appointments to ensure availability of materials and workspace. The history of medicine collection is a circulating one. SERVICES: Reference, photocopy, photo-reproduction and library loan.
    Holdings: The archives collection contains 1 17th century title, 90 18th century titles and 375 19th century titles. The archive journals from 1848 to the present provide school catalogs, annual reports, in-house publications and yearbooks. The hospital records, primarily administrative and financial in nature and kept in file cabinets, cover 1855-1964. These encompass the Mass. Homoeopathic Hospital, the Mass. Memorial Hospitals and University Hospital—all predecessors of the Boston Medical Center. The file cabinet collections of the Medical, Dental, Public Health Schools, along with the Graduate Medical Sciences Division, provide administrative and budgetary information about the schools but also their particular education programs and research projects. The images collection of over 1000 items cover individual students, faculty, staff and alumni of the medical center and its components; class pictures from the different schools; buildings (interiors and exteriors) and environs of the past, present and future. The Medical instruments collection has 300 pieces used in surgery and general practice. The Doris Appel History of Medicine Collection of over 2200 titles, named in 1980 in honor of the well known medical historian and sculptor, has a wide variety of offerings: general sweep of history from antiquity to modern times; medicine in various countries and time periods; discoveries, trends and developments; rise of specialties; organizational histories; and biographies of famous physicians and those who are well known in their communities.

The cornerstone of The Burns Archive is its unparalleled collection of early medical photography, but it is also renowned for its iconic images depicting the darker side of life: Death, Disease, Disaster, Mayhem, Crime, Racism, Revolution and War. Over the past forty years, thousands of publishers, exhibitors, authors, researchers, artists and filmmakers have utilized this unique source of visual documentation. Having produced dozens of books and having curated and contributed to frequent national and international museum and gallery exhibitions, The Burns Archive actively acquires, donates, researches, lectures, exhibits, consults, and shares its rare and unusual photographs and expertise worldwide.
    Holdings: Largest private archive of early medical photography (1847-1960), containing over 70,000 images related to the history of medicine, especially strong in nineteenth century imagery (daguerreotypes, ambrotypes, etc). Our library contains hundreds of original journals, especially those related to medical photography, 1865-1930. Several books and articles on various aspects of medical specialties have been published from the collection.
